WaterAid and Mind: RSK charities of choice

Every few years, RSK selects a charity to be the focus of fundraising efforts across the group. From 2017 to 2020, we were supporting WaterAid and in that period RSK raised an impressive £12,000 for this worthy cause.

Helping people to gain access to safe water and sanitation is a critical objective and very appropriate for an organisation operating in the field of environmental consultancy. Our support for WaterAid demonstrated the group’s commitment to doing the right thing and enabled us to make positive contributions in communities where some of our employees work. The fundraising efforts included sponsored runners in the London and Manchester marathons and the Three Peaks Challenge.

RSK Communications is proud to have played its part in this effort. Jack Lloyd, RSK Sustainability Reporting Consultant, says, “Since 2017, we have seen some fantastic fundraising initiatives across the group, from individual sporting challenges to office-wide events led by our network of corporate responsibility and sustainability representatives.”

From 2021, the company’s new charity of choice will be Mind. But selecting this mental health charity does not prevent us from offering support to other charitable organisations. All RSK employees are encouraged to work with their corporate responsibility and sustainability representatives to identify local charities that can be supported through collective fundraising efforts.
